Colorado License Information
Colorado is divided into many different Game Management Units, GMU’s. Some of these units you can obtain elk licenses over the counter. Other units have limited licenses and you can only receive one by completing an application and submitting it into a drawing system. All Mule Deer licenses are by draw only. Also 1st and 4th rifle elk seasons are draw only. In these limited units there is very quality hunting. So, there are generally more applicants for licenses then there are licenses. Every year you apply but are successful in the drawing you are rewarded with 1 preference point. The more preference points you have the better your chance is at getting a license. Action Adventures offers hunts in both an over the counter unit (65) and a trophy limited draw unit (66). If you are looking to hunt one of these quality trophy units you must plan and book in advance. Once you book a hunt with us we take care of the whole application process.
Application Deadline is April 1st.
