Wilderness Drop Camps
All of our drop camps are in the wilderness. These hunts are for the true do-it-yourselfer. We provide you with a full camp. From the tents right down to forks and knifes to eat with everything you need is taken care of. You are responsible for your bringing your own food. Your adventure starts when we meet you at the trailhead. Gear is sorted and packed on mules. Then you are fitted to a horse and 
after some instruction we take off up the trail. On your ride to camp your guide will get you acquainted with the country and stop to show you some good hunting locations and strategies. Upon arrival at camp, gear is unloaded. Once you settle in you are left to hunt. We generally pack you in a few days before the season starts so you can scout the country. You will be checked on mid week. At that point we pack out any downed game you might have and set a time for your departure. You are liable to properly care for any harvested animals and get them to a location where we can get a pack animal to retrieve them. At the end of the hunt we meet you at camp and again pack your gear and any game. You are expected to leave the camp in the same condition as you found it. After everything is packed we ride down the trail and return you to your vehicles. Drop Camps are great for the truly motivated and knowledgeable hunter. You will get out of this hunt what you put into it. If you are out hunting everyday you will find game. However if you sit around camp your chances of tagging out is not good. This drop camp is in an over-the-counter tag unit, but is situated right on the border of a limited unit so the hunting is quite good. If you already have Colorado Preference Points or you book your trip several years in advance we can set your drop camp in the limited trophy unit. This trip is 6 days of hunting with 2 days in advance to scout and 1 day to pack out.
