Semi-Guided Elk and Mule Deer Hunting
A semi-guided hunt is one of the best values in western hunting today. Semi-guided hunts have all of the perks of a guided camp. You are provided with a well outfitted camp, two home cooked meals and one sack lunch per day. You have the freedom of a drop camp with out the hassles of cooking and bothering with other camp chores. Also you have a wrangler to show you the country, offer advice, and help pack out any downed game. This hunt is great for the motivated hunter. However I do not recommend this for the first time elk hunter. Having an experienced guide at your side is invaluable. Unless you have hunted out west before I suggest employing a guide to show you around the country and educate you on the habits of western big game.

Private Land Semi-Guided Hunts
Hunt Colorado’s Elk and Mule Deer on The Quarter Circle HM Ranch. This productive ranch sits secluded behind locked gates and between a large tract of 
Uncompahgre National Forest and a remote parcel of Colorado State Wildlife area. This gives you a diverse topography to hunt. Pursue a large resident herd of elk through sage-brush and juniper rolling hillsides, stands of dark timber, alpine meadows, with large groves of aspen trees in-between. Our ranch has produced P&Y quality animals throughout the years, and every year the trophy potential seems to get better. Hunt early Archery and Muzzleloader seasons, or Rifle begins in Mid-October and runs through Mid-November.

Wilderness Pack-in Semi-Guided Elk and Mule Deer Hunting
On this hunt we pack into the wilderness to our base camp, deep into the heart of 
Elk country. The hunting area consists of deep grassy valleys, stands of dark timber, high ridges, and parks of alpine tundra above timberline. Numerous wallows decorate the many secluded basins. Mornings usually include bugling bulls. Afternoons will find you sitting active wallows or high on a ridge glassing elk formulating a plan of attack. Even though our camps are extremely remote they are still well outfitted. We specialize in small camps and high success. Archery wilderness trips are 6 days of hunting with a day of travel at each end to make an 8 day total trip.
